endowment funds, and other assets. Institutional clients include:
- Corporations
- Foundations and other
non-profits
- Savings and Loan Institutions
- Small Business
- State and Local Governments
- Trade Unions
Wright is uniquely qualified to meet
the specialized needs of institutional prospects/clients of trust
fiduciaries. Wright participates actively in marketing to and
serving institutional clients, offering, as needed:
Disciplined
Investment Approach
Wright’s disciplined
approach to security selection is particularly appropriate for
institutional investment management. In the institutional investment
environment, the process used to reach investment decisions can be
as important as the investment results produced. Wright’s security
selection process is a layered approach of quantitative, analytical
and qualitative screening. Portfolio construction is implemented by
individual portfolio managers, supervised by a nine-member
investment committee. It is a rigorous process designed to meet the
unique requirements of institutional and fiduciary clients.
GIPS® Compliance
Wright Investors’ Service claims compliance with the Global Investment Performance Standads (GIPS®)
and prepares and presents its reports in compliance with the GIPS standards.
Wright Investors’ Service has not been independently verified.
Marketing to
Consultants
Wright’s Consultant
Relations personnel currently enjoy productive relationships with
many institutional investment consultants across the country. Wright
can support trust institutions pursuing business in which
consultants are involved.
Providing Technical
Information
Requests for proposal (RFP’s)
often require highly technical data not easily accessible to many
trust institutions. Wright has over 40 years of experience
responding to RFP’s and bidding for institutional business.
Analyzing Existing
Portfolios
Using analytical tools
developed by Wright, including software developed by Wilshire
Associates, Inc. Wright analyzes the prospect’s current investment
portfolio, focusing on identifying the divergence of the portfolio
versus a given benchmark, within user-defined constraints. The
quality and comprehensiveness of this analysis meets the
expectations of the largest institutional prospects.
Preparation of
Professional Quality Investment Proposals
Once a portfolio has been
analyzed, Wright then prepares a complete investment proposal
showing individually customized equity and fixed income portfolios
and asset allocation with portfolio income yield. The proposal is
designed to represent the partnership between Wright and the trust
institution, combining background information on both.
Comprehensive
Reporting Capability
Client statements are
provided normally on a quarterly basis. Monthly statements are
available upon special request. In addition, annual, semi-annual or
quarterly Portfolio Review reports can be prepared for institutional
clients. These reports expand upon the statement and provide
information such as portfolio characteristics, portfolio changes,
and economic and market reviews. A dedicated Client Service Officer
is available to assist in presenting Portfolio Reviews at client
meetings. Wright also provides an internet site designed solely for
trust fiduciaries.
Ongoing Client
Sales/Service Support
Comprehensive communication
and personalized service are important aspects of Wright’s
institutional account management service. A dedicated Client Service
Officer is assigned to each trust relationship to support new
business development efforts and client retention. Your Client
Service Officer will help make new business presentations, will work
with the investment officer at Wright and/or the investment officer
at your institution to monitor accounts for compliance with client
requirements and guidelines. As mentioned above, Client Service
Officers are available to help in Account Review presentations as
these institutional relationships go forward.
